Hello...thanks for stopping by. I'm a 41-year-old dude who takes life seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. I value family and friends above all, and having fun and getting the most out of life is my priority. I go work not so much to climb the ladder and advance, but to have as much fun as possible when I'm not working. One day, I hope to reconcile the two.I love most all outdoor activities and traveling and sharing those experiences with people. Music is a big part of my life, and I regularly attend concerts and live gigs by local bands, mostly with a buddy or two but sometimes solo. It's always fun! Most evenings lately find me kicking back with a couple cold ones and tuning in the Reds game on the radio or strumming the guitar.
I am free-spirited, imaginative, and motivated.
My job right now keeps me busy and challenges me, but doesn't allow for much of a social life. I hope to change that soon, as I believe in the mantra "work to live" instead of "live to work." I'd like to find a job in the web development or geographic information systems, but honestly, just something I like doing and can look forward to each day would be awesome! My dream job would be freelance photographer, or fishing or canoe/kayak guide, hey, a guy can dream, right?
My musical tastes are pretty wide-ranging. Hard to sum up in a few words. I'm not too much into current mainstream music, My tastes in music are pretty mellow lately, but I enjoy some old-school metal too. My favorites among current bands are Gov't Mule, North Mississippi All-Stars, Meat Puppets, all of which are out there now and still putting out great music just outside the mainstream. I also dig the classics like Grateful Dead (all-time faves), Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, Crosby Stills & Nash, Allman Brothers, and The Doors. Also dig some classic country like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Dwight Yoakam, and old blues like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, etc. Been on a bit of a Bluegrass bender lately too.
Movies- Don't go to too many, prefer to watch at home. But I mostly like comedies, action, westerns, biopics and documentaries.
Food- Anything Mexican, Asian or Italian, but you can't beat a backyard barbecue!
I spend a lot of time thinking about my future, both short-term and long-term, and who that future might be with.
